London, January 5 (RHC)-- British activists have filed a lawsuit against Israeli military commanders over a deadly attack on a Gaza-bound peace flotilla back in 2010. According to reports from London, the activists have asked Scotland Yard to investigate whether Israeli military officers committed war crimes.
The Gaza Peace flotilla was organized by international human rights activists in an effort to break Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip. It was carrying basic supplies to Palestinian people living under siege since 2007.
Israeli troops stormed the ship Mavi Marmara in international waters and shot dead nine Turkish peace activists. A tenth activist recently succumbed to death after four years in coma.
