Buenos Aires, Aug 8 (RHC), -- Argentinean Cabinet Chief, Anibal Fernandez, confirmed on Saturday the deployment of federal forces to guarantee security for Sunday's primary elections.
Fernandez, a candidate for the Front for Victory to the governorship of the Buenos Aires province, flatly rejected the possibility of fraud in the elections, saying those were malicious rumors spread by the opposition.
Fernandez also lashed out at remarks by presidential candidate for the right-wing party Republican Proposal, Mauricio Macri, about the possibility of a theft of ballot papers next Sunday.
The official predicted peace during the vote on Sunday and ratified the guarantees and presence of the security forces to ensure the normal development of the elections.
