Roanoke, August 28 (RHC)-- The father of 24-year-old journalist Alison Parker, who was killed along with 27-year-old cameraman Adam Ward during Wednesday’s fatal shooting in Roanoke, Virginia, has demanded action on gun control. The two died after suspected gunman Vester Flanagan opened fire during the morning broadcast of local news station WDBJ. Flanagan was a former journalist at the station who was fired two years ago. He was African-American and had spoken out about racial grievance at WDBJ and other stations where he’d worked. Alison Parker’s father, Andy, spoke out for gun control during an interview on Fox News. He said: "I'm going to do something, whatever it takes, to get gun legislation, to shame people, to shame legislators into doing something about closing loopholes in background checks and making sure crazy people don’t get guns.’"
