Bogotá, February 3 (RHC)-- Former Colombian legislator Piedad Córdoba has expressed optimism about an eventual peace deal between the government of President Juan Manuel Santos and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People's Army (FARC-EP).
In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, she stressed that although peace talks have advanced steadily, some pending complex issues still need definitive solutions.
A prominent human rights advocate and leader of the social movements Patriotic March and People's Power, Piedad Córdoba expressed hope that the government would soon engage in similar peace talks with the National Liberation Army (ELN) –the country's second largest guerrilla group.
