Athens, April 6 (RHC-teleSUR) -- Greece has postponed the return of the next group of refugees to Turkey under a deal with the European Union until Friday, a Turkish government official has said, with no other deportees expected before then.
A first group of refugees, mostly Pakistani and Afghan, were shipped back to Turkey on Monday under the deal with the EU, which will see Ankara take back all migrants and refugees who cross the Aegean to enter Greece illegally.
For each Syrian refugee returned to Turkey, the EU nations are supposed to take in another Syrian who has made a legitimate request of asylum.
