Moscow, June 21 (RHC)-- Russia has donated over 25 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria, in the provinces of Homs and Aleppo, the Russian Defense Ministry stated. According to Sputnik News, flour, food products and sweets are the basis of the cargos.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered the Hmeymim airbase command to increase assistance to the Syrian population.
Along with humanitarian aid, Russia is also working with the Syrian government to combat the anti-government forces, including Islamic State groups.
