La Paz, August 3 (RHC)-- A photo exhibition dedicated to Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro was inaugurated Wednesday in Bolivia, as part of a series of activities in the Andean nation to celebrate Fidel's 90th birthday on August 13th.
The exhibit, entitled 'Fidel es Fidel' (Fidel Is Fidel), is now open to the public at the Ethnography and Folklore Museum in La Paz. It is made up of photos of Fidel taken by photographer Roberto Chile, who for many decades accompanied Fidel on his daily work, as well as his travels abroad.
Other activities in Bolivia to celebrate Fidel's 90th birthday include a symposium on his political thinking and legacy, and the screening of a film series entitled 'Fidel, hombre de principios' (Fidel, a Man of Principles), comprising works by prestigious film makers Estela Bravo, Oliver Stone and Rebeca Chávez.
On the eve of Fidel's birthday, the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz will host a cultural gala entitled 'Bolivia Sings to Fidel'.
