Guantánamo, August 9 (RHC)-- The 50th Contingent of the U.S. Venceremos Brigade begins a visit to the eastern province of Guantánamo on Friday.
After visiting provinces in central and eastern Cuba, and honoring the Martyrs of the 2nd Eastern Front, in the Mausoleum erected in Santiago de Cuba, the brigadistas will participate in various activities organized by their hosts.
Ana Teresa Nápoles Disotuar, delegate of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) told Cuban News Agency that among those activities, they will see the documentary "All Guantánamo is Ours," by Colombian film-maker Hernando Calvo Ospina.
The brigade members will also visit the municipality of Caimanera, a portion of which is illegally occupied since 1903 by the U.S. Naval Base of Guantanamo. The brigadistas will meet with local authorities and residents, as well as members of the Border Brigade, who have the responsibility of patrolling the border limits.
