Havana, November 28 (RHC)-- The entry into force this Thursday of a new Decree-Law will benefit the production of clean energy in Cuba.
Officials of the Ministry of Energy and Mines told a press conference that Decree-Law 345, which makes reference to the development of renewable sources and efficient use of energy, sets the guidelines of what remains to be done in the sector during the next decade.
Among its new features, the legal text authorizes the generation of energy by independent producers.
According to the decree, "tariff and fiscal incentives and benefits will be offered so that individuals and legal entities can acquire equipment that uses renewable energy sources and that allows the efficient use of energy with non-profit purposes.”
