Havana, Jun 3 (RHC), – Cuban President Raúl Castro Ruz held official talks on Monday afternoon with Mohamed Abdelaziz, the President of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), who is on a working visit to Cuba.
During the meeting, both leaders ratified the historical friendship between their countries, as well as Cuba's support of a just and definitive solution to the occupation of the Western Sahara, in a way that ensures the self-determination of the Saharawi people.
President Abdelaziz, for his part, reiterated his appreciation for Cuba's solidarity. The two leaders also discussed topics of mutual interest and relevant international developments.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Mohamed Salem Ould Salek, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Melainine Etkana, the Saharawi ambassador to Cuba. Cuba's Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, also attended the meeting.
