Havana, March 31 (RHC)-- The next Population and Housing Census will be carried out in Cuba next year, said Juan Carlos Alfonso Fraga, deputy head of the National Bureau of Statistics and Information, who said that the organizing commission was created on March 25, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil Fernández.
Collecting essential information for national development plans is one of the objectives of this exercise, whose previous editions were held in 2002 and 2012.
It twas also reported that a survey on the covid-19 pandemic will soon be conducted in more than 3,000 households in Havana.
The Population and Housing Census is the most important statistical research carried out by a country, and one of the most transcendental in the social field, considering its usefulness.
