Havana, June 19 (RHC)-- Several rallies and caravans to demand the end of the US blockade on Cuba took place this Saturday in various parts of the world, in anticipation of the vote on a resolution that will take place on June 23rd at the United Nations General Assembly.
In London’s Trafalgar Square, British activists gathered carrying banners stating USA Hands of Cuba, no UK complicity, Stop the Blockade on Cuba. The UK solidarity Campaign posted on Twitter that it is unconscionable that the immoral measure has continued throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, causing medical shortages and hindering Cuba’s vaccine rollout.
In Paris representatives of associations of Cubans living in Europe participated in the 15th Meeting of Cubans Residing in Europe (ECRE) based in France will be held by videoconference in the context of Covid-19 and will culminate with a final declaration.
In statements to Prensa Latina, members of the National Coordinator of Cubans Resident in France Haydeline Díaz, Patricia Pérez and Ana Katherine Martínez said that the meeting will ratify the support to Cuba, its people, the Revolution and the defense of its sovereignty in the different fronts, among these, the social networks.
