Business meeting between new economic actors of Cuban society and Phillips Peter

Havana, Nov 11 (RHC) Estudio 50, located in the capital's Cerro municipality, hosted on Wednesday a business meeting between new economic actors of the society and Phillips Peter, representative of Focus Cuba, a U.S. consulting firm, who is visiting the island.

The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the importance of commercial exchange between the two nations, as well as the difficulties and limitations that exist for this purpose.

During the meeting, Peter expressed his interest in knowing the newly created companies, their social objectives, needs, and interests to negotiate with US companies. 

He ratified the importance of eliminating the measures imposed against Cuba to be able to conduct negotiations between both markets, and his interest in supporting his position so that the purposes of both parties can be achieved.

The businessmen present at the event expressed their interest in the acquisition of raw materials, inputs, and machinery to be able to offer better products and services.

Alfonso Larrea, sole administrator of EVEXCON SLR, the MSME in charge of organizing the event, expressed his gratitude for the exchange that took place, which was described as fruitful among the participants.

Peter Phillips recently held a similar meeting with members of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, at the Hotel Nacional where 25 U.S. companies exchanged with Cuban businessmen, to achieve these purposes.

In declarations to the press, he expressed his knowledge of Cuba, as he studied on the island for many years. He described the exchange as excellent, and he recognized the digital platforms as one of the possible ways for negotiations.
