Matanzas, April 8 (RHC)-- The lifeless body of the fourth worker, Lázaro Montero Pita, victim of the accident at the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Plant in Matanzas, has  been found.

Cuban Rescue Brigades resumed the work to enter through the sides of the chimney of the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant, after being obstructed for hours by soot.

The main objective of the rescuers was to find one of the workers trapped in the rubble after a column from the chimney's ashtray collapsed on Friday.

A mechanized team had to be brought in from Havana to penetrate the damaged area of the facility.

The brigades had to retreat to outside areas for hours due to the danger of collapse and the large volume of soot concentrated against a wall. (Source: PL)
