Floods in eastern Cuba

Havana, June 10 (RHC) -- Faced with the adversities faced by thousands of families in eastern Cuba due to heavy rains in recent days, Cuba's largest mass organization is calling on people of good will to show solidarity with their compatriots who have been affected.

"Attention cederistas! Solidarity with our brothers in the provinces affected by the heavy rains.we will be receiving donations at the national headquarters of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), located in Linea between K and L, in Vedado, and in the provincial headquarters," reported in his social networks the Hero of the Republic and National Coordinator of the CDR, Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo.

The also member of the Council of State said that all kinds of aid will be accepted: food, cleaning, household items, clothing, footwear or other resources that contribute to the recovery of the affected families.

The Committees have a rich tradition of solidarity in the face of similar situations, such as cyclones and major accidents. Among the most recent aid offered by the Cederistas to the victims of the explosion at the Saratoga Hotel and to those affected by Hurricane Ian. (Source: Cubadebate)
