Solidarity group in Colombia rejects destabilizing plans against Cuba
Havana, Sept 1 (RHC) The Colombian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MCSC) issued a statement this Thursday expressing rejection regarding recent revelations about the existence of destabilizing plans orchestrated from the United States against Cuba.
In the letter, the group expressed its solidarity with the Cuban people and reaffirmed its commitment to justice, freedom and the sovereignty of the peoples.
The members of the movement considered that this type of actions show flagrant disrespect for the independence of nations, their free self-determination, the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and the legitimate participation of Cuba in the international arena.
The MCSC alerted the national government, the people of Colombia and the international community, of the attempts to use the next G77+China Summit, scheduled to take place in Havana, as a propitious scenario to carry out destabilization actions by part of counterrevolutionaries and terrorists.
Likewise, they urged the international community to condemn any act that goes against the principles of self-determination, peace and respect for the sovereignty of nations.
The group stressed that only respectful dialogue and genuine cooperation will help build a more just and equitable world for everyone. (Source: PL)
