Cuban ambassador to Iran denounces Israel's impunity
Havana, October 23 (RHC) The Cuban ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Alberto González Casals, denounced through an interview published today on PressTV, Israel's unpunished actions in complicity with the United States.
González urged an immediate ceasefire to put an end to war rhetoric and emphasized the need to pressure Washington so that it does not continue to paralyze the UN Security Council to protect its ally in Tel Aviv.
He explained that to end Israeli aggression in Gaza, the tenth emergency special session of the UN General Assembly must be held and its top priority must be to achieve a cessation of violence, a ceasefire and to promote the provision of urgent and enough aid for the Palestinian people.
Referring to the aid that entered the besieged strip from the Rafah crossing last Saturday morning, the Cuban diplomat assessed the access of only twenty trucks an insult to those in need, and demanded that emergency humanitarian aid must be urgently mobilized, under the coordination of the UN to confront the catastrophic situation in Gaza.
He assured that Cuba will support and contribute in everything within its power to legitimize international efforts to put an end to the current situation. (Source: PL)
