Wang Yi, who is also member of the Political Bureau and Head of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, highlighted Beijing's position in support of the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government. against Cuba. Likewise, he rejected the arbitrary and unilateral inclusion of Havana on the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

For his part, Cuba's foreign minister, who is making an official visit as a special envoy of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, ratified his country's position in favor of the principle of one China.  Likewise, he highlighted Beijing's efforts for national reunification and condemned interference in the internal affairs of the Asian giant.
