Havana, June 10 (RHC)-- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, condemned this Sunday the massacre perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip, which so far led to the murder of 274 Palestinian civilians, mostly women and children.
In a message posted on the social network X, the top Cuban diplomat wrote:
"We condemn in the strongest terms the massacre carried out by the Israeli army in the Nuseirat refugee camp, #Gaza. Yet more evidence of the genocide that Israel commits with impunity against the people of #Palestine."
According to Palestinian sources, so far 274 Palestinians have been killed during the armed incursion, with the number of wounded exceeding 400.
For several hours, and with the help of warplanes and ground artillery, the occupying power intensively bombed areas of the refugee camp and adjacent areas. Meanwhile, armed drones machine-gunned any civilian traveling through the surrounding streets and highways.
After the persistent bombardment, hundreds of Israeli troops were deployed in the area and fired freely at the Arab population while locating and extracting four hostages that the Palestinian resistance had been holding since October 7th.
According to the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas, during the bombings in Al-Nuseirat the occupation troops killed three other hostages.
The armed wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam brigades, showed through a video the bodies of those hostages, among whom there would be an American citizen, and made it clear that the captives who remain in Gaza will not return to Israel until they are exchanged for Palestinians who remain kidnapped in Zionist prisons.
