Havana, January 15 (RHC) -– The upcoming Pedagogy 2015 Congress to take place from January 26th through the 30th in Havana will include the forum entitled “Latin America and Caribbean: A Zone of Peace,” which will focus on post-conflict education.
Participants will address conflicts still prevailing in this part of the world and their causes, said Omar Roque, president of the Commission of Education for Peace and Human Rights.
The organization will undertake a series of initiatives in 2015, along with local organizations and institutions to Foster a non-violence culture, as it was announced during a meeting of the secretariat of the Cuban Movement for Peace and the Sovereignty of the Nations, Movpaz, in Havana on Wednesday.
Activities on the agenda include an inter-religious dialog in October, called by the Cuban Inter-religious platform, a group of religious organizations; the 4th International Seminar for Peace and for the abolition of foreign military bases, to take place in November, and a U.S.-Cuba political update workshop.
