Havana, February 24 (RHC) –- Cuban President Raul Castro has congratulated the children's group La Colmenita on its 25th anniversary.

In his congratulatory message, the Cuban president conveyed his love and admiration for the children that are and were members of the children's art troupe. He also expressed admiration for the parents and all those who make possible the group's performances. He added that more than a theater group, the company has become a great school for its members and also for the public.

"With La Colmenita, the name of Cuba has shined in many countries around the world and its contribution to such noble causes as the freedom of the Cuban Five can be regarded as extraordinary," read the message. “La Colmenita is one of the most beautiful results of the Cuban Revolution.”

The letter was made public during a rehearsal of the group at Havana's International Convention Center on Monday.
