Havana, June 1 (RHC) -– Cuban President Raul Castro, during the latest meeting of the Council of Ministers, called to deeply analyze and constructively discuss every measure, in the context of the transformations that the nation is undergoing.
All officials at each level have to make a critical analysis of the fulfillment of the tasks, and express their opinion at the right time and place, to rectify any mistakes before generalizing these new initiatives, the Cuban head of state said, referring to some economic and social reforms currently in the trial phase that could be implemented nationwide if proved successful.
During the meeting, the functioning of non-agricultural cooperatives was assessed, after one year and seven months of their implementation throughout the country.
Moreover, issues such as the resolution of forms and payment systems, improvement of the banking system, registration of properties in the Land Registration Office, illegalities and administrative corruption, territorial and urban planning, and temporary shortages of medicines, were discussed during the Council of Ministers' meeting.
