Holguin, September 21 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raul Castro attended a mass officiated by Pope Francis on Monday in the eastern city of Holguin, the second leg of his Cuba Papal visit, which will conclude in Santiago de Cuba on Tuesday.
Raul was also present at the Holy Mass yesterday in Havana, which was attended by tens of thousands of Cubans and pilgrims from different countries, who gathered at the Plaza de la Revolucion to greet the Holy Father.
On Monday morning, the Pope flew to Holguin, located in eastern Cuba. The Mass, which began at 10:30 a.m. local time, was held in the Calixto Garcia Square. Cuba's First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel also attended the Mass in Holguin, sitting alongside Cuban President Raul Castro.
