Havana, December 11 (RHC)-- Romanian entrepreneur and former tennis player Ion Tiriac has expressed a personal interest in investing in Cuba, particularly in tourism, arguing that Cuba is blessed with exceptional natural attributes.
During this, his second trip to Cuba, Tiriac –- the owner of more than 40 private companies in such sectors as banking, insurance, real state and transport -- has met with authorities at the Cuban Ministries for Foreign Trade and Investment and Tourism.
In statements to reporters, the Romanian businessman said he has plans to build at least three golf courses, more than 20 tennis courts and several spas, as well as new, high-standard hotels, which will be operated by the company Four Seasons. He also pointed to immediate projects in the banking and insurance sectors.
