Bogotá, May 27 (RHC)-- Colombian Foreign Minister María Ángela Holguín has confirmed President Juan Manuel Santos' participation in the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), set for June 4th in Havana.
Minister Holguín said that President Santos will travel to Cuba for the top-level segment of the ACS summit, while she will attend the bloc's ministerial meeting on June 3rd.
Created on July 24th 1994, in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, the ACS is a mechanism for consultation, cooperation and concerted action in trade, transport, sustainable tourism and natural disasters among its 25 member countries. Cuba holds the organization's rotating presidency through 2017.
