Musicians from Cuba and other nations have partnered to record a new version of the song Eleanor Rigby by the English rock band the Beatles, which has become an anthem of cooperation and peaceful coexistence in times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The participating Cuban musicians are Carlos Alfonso and Ele Valdés -director and lead singer respectively of the group Síntesis-, their daughter, also renowned singer Eme Alfonso, pianist Pepe Gavilondo -leader of the Cuban ensemble Interactivo- and trova musician Ariel Díaz.

Artists Bruna Brenner, from Brazil; Zsolt Bartek, from Hungary, and Kyla- Rose Smith, Becky Hill and Héctor Herrera from the United States, also participate in this project, produced by Cuban Pepe Gavilondo.

"Eleanor Rigby" was released on The Beatle’s 1966 album Revolver and on a double A-side single with "Yellow Submarine". It was written primarily by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney.
