Havana, July 20 (RHC) - Artists from the United States who participated in the Concert For Cuba dedicated to Cuban health workers have praised the work of these professionals.

US actor, Ron Perlman, was one of the artists who joined the Chicago HotHouse Global music initiative to send his thanks to Cuban health workers, who are fighting the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide. Soul and pop singer, Dionne Warwick, also sent her message of gratitude to Cuba's doctors, who risk their lives in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic to save many people in need.

For her part, folk, blues and jazz singer, Barbara Dane, welcomed the opportunity to show her appreciation to Cuban health professionals fighting the Covid-19 pandemic: 'They do a great job helping other people.' Her son, Pablo Menéndez, also a musician and composer with a close connection to the island, where he has spent a good part of his career and life, highlighted the history and culture shared between the peoples of Cuba and the United States. He also expressed his rejection of the US blockade against the island, which has proven to be a failed policy.

Concert for Cuba, a series of concerts organized by the Chicago based HotHouse Global institution, took place on Saturday and Sunday as an international chant of solidarity with the Caribbean nation, an opportunity to build bridges and an unprecedented event between the cultural relations of the two nations.

The concerts were seen for free on the platforms of HotHouse Global, the Cuban Culture Ministry, the Cuban Music Institute and Streaming Cuba. (Source: PL)
