Ballet Español de Cuba returns to the National Theater

Havana, Dec 20 (RHC) The Ballet Español de Cuba (BEC), under the direction of maestro Eduardo Veitía announced the presentation of the show 'Otra Huella Juvenil del BEC', with which the graduation of the Teaching Artistic Unit, founded 19 years ago, will take place.

 

The event will take place on December 24, at 11:00 a.m., at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater of Cuba, located in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality.

 

The company informed that the performance will feature a selection of works including styles such as bolero school, regional dances, flamenco and stylized dance, among others, and will be accompanied by students from other years as well as the young vocational quarry.

 

The first part of the program includes the XII Graduation ceremony and the presentation of the BEC Artistic and Teaching Unit, with a series of choreographic exercises performed by the students, as part of their graduation thesis papers.

 

The second part will be dedicated to the company's Vocational Workshops and will show different choreographies such as Olé olé (Tango), by Wendy Pérez, for the Camelia group; Caminando voy solito, by Daniela Duarte; Vino Tinto (Rumba Flamenca), by Analía Feal, for Sevilla; Gitana Mía (Tango), by Nayara Calderón, for the Genesis group and Sueño gitano (Bulerías), by Eduardo Arango, for the Duende group.
