Havana, Sep 12 (RHC) More than 30 ballplayers from the capital city in various categories, summoned by the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation (FCBS), took part in the talent tests this Wednesday at the Latin American Stadium in Havana.

On September 4, the qualifying auditions began in Santiago de Cuba with athletes selected from the eastern provinces, this same Wednesday they were held in Villa Clara with those from the central region and on September 11 and 12, the remaining players from the western region will be observed in Matanzas.

Among those attending the so-called tryouts at the "Coloso del Cerro" are some athletes known by the fans for having worn the colors of the Industriales team in the last National Baseball Series, representing the capital city, where they finished in fourth place.

They are the Rookie of the Year of the 2023 campaign, pitcher Rafael Orlando Perdomo, the also pitchers Fher Cejas and Yordan William Bustamante, outfielders Roque Tomás and Dayron Miranda, and infielders Frank David González and Raúl Pérez.

According to the FCBS, with the players selected for the final trials, some training challenges will be organized with the pre-selection of the national team that will be preparing to participate in the Premier 12 tournament to begin in November. (Taken from Prensa Latina).
