Havana, November 28 (RHC)-- Several intellectuals lamented the death of Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro, whom they consider a reference in Latin America and the world.
Ecuadorian writer and anthropologist María Eugenia Paz y Mi–o urged regional and world peoples to honor Fidel's legacy.
Colombian poet José Luis Díaz-Granado said that Fidel will be always in the hearts of revolutionaries and people of goodwill the world over.
Meanwhile, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Argentine Adolfo Pérez Esquivel thanked the late Cuban revolutionary leader for a life dedicated to building a more just society to ensure the wellbeing of his and other Latin American peoples.
Esquivel said that Fidel's legacy will live on as a symbol of revolutionary resistance against imperialism and injustice. He added that the late revolutionary leader, through Cuba's cooperation programs, contributed significantly to unity among nations and peoples.
No doubt, the person who has just passed away was one of the greatest world leaders of both, the 20th and the 21st centuries.
