Bogota, May 4 (RHC)--A mercenary and terrorist of Cuban origin detained in Colombia said that his goal was to attack the leader of the former FARC guerrilla, Rodrigo Londoño, and the left-wing presidential candidate Gustavo Petro, a purpose that was frustrated by Colombian authorities.

Raul Gutiérrez explained that his terrorist group is financed by Cuban exiles in Florida and the Colombian ultra-right', but he said that for security he could not disclose names.

'I belong to the 'Justiciero 51 Movement', our operations are military action against Cuban interests abroad, in this case the Cuban embassies in Bogota and Chile, as well as the demobilized leader of the FARC, aka 'Timochenko' ', said Gutiérrez in an interview with W Radio, according to German news agency DPA.

The Cuban was arrested on March 14, when agents of the Colombian Prosecutor´s Office and Police thwarted an attack that he intended to perpetrate against US citizens who work in the American embassy in Bogota.

Gutiérrez said he was born in Cuba in 1972, he studied in Havana and he left the island to  settle in the United States, where he joined groups against the Cuban government.
