La Paz, April 19 (RHC)-- The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, reiterated during a mass rally in the city of Cochabamba the determination of his government to hold the necessary trials so that justice is done regarding the 36 killed in the massacres of Senkata, Sacaba and Huayllani, following the coup d'état of November 2019.

Addressing thousands of supporters who filled Blanco Galindo Avenue in Cochabamba, Arce called on them to remain united to prevent a new coup against democracy and peace.  The Bolivian president warned that "those who lost at the polls and did not receive the popular vote are still plotting" and are trying to destabilize the country because "they are unable to win the vote."

Luis Arce said that those domestic right-wing forces and their foreign allies are the same ones that now deny the existence of the coup against former President Evo Morales and were involved in it.  He recalled that there are 36 mothers of families mourning the deaths of Senkata, Sacaba and Huayllani, although this sector is interested in only talking about the arrest of the de facto ex-president Jeanine Añez.

He reiterated that the Bolivian people and his administration are not driven by hatred or revenge, only by the desire for justice, as they have shown by revealing acts of corruption committed during the de facto government, which are being presented before the justice system.

Evo Morales, former Bolivian president and current president of the Movement Towards Socialism-Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP), also took part in the rally in Cochabamba over the weekend.

Yesterday's historic mobilization for democracy and justice with the COB, MAS leadership, Unity Pact and all the social forces of Bolivia expressed support for President Luis 'Lucho' Arce, threatened by a right-wing coup at a time when the country begins its economic recovery.
