La Paz, October 3 (RHC)-- Bolivian social movements have declared a state of emergency in defense of the democratically elected government, since the right wing is trying to destabilize it through anti-government demonstrations and promoting work stoppages and work stoppages.
Also victims of the Huayllani massacre in Cochabamba declare themselves in emergency, they demand Justice to punish those responsible for the tragic events in 2019, otherwise, they announce mobilizations at national level.
The president of the departmental leadership of the Movement Towards Socialism - Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP)MAS in Cochabamba, Rimer Ágreda, denounced that there have been several acts of aggression by right-wing organizations against the Government.
The social movements are preparing a mobilization for October 12 in defense of the wiphala, democracy, the homeland and "Lucho Presidente", according to former president Evo Morales.
The leader of the federations of the Cochabamba tropic, interviewed by radio Kausachun Coca, indicated that, in that department, the concentration will be carried out with 50% of its bases. He added that in La Paz, a march is planned from Caracollo to the Government headquarters.
"On October 12 there will be a great mobilization in Cochabamba in defense of the homeland, of democracy, of the wiphala, of the process of change and of Lucho President," said Evo Morales.
During the last days the tension between the government of President Luis Arce and the authorities of the department of Santa Cruz, bastion of the right-wing groups in Bolivia, has increased.
The scale occurs when the governor of Santa Cruz, Fernando Camacho, one of the main actors in the 2019 coup d'état, starred in an act of racism, offense and aggravation during the raising of flags on the anniversary of the entity.
The indigenous flag, elevated to the rank of national symbol since 2009, was raised by Vice President David Choquehuanca and lowered minutes later, before the eyes of the Santa Cruz authorities, by activists who shouted slogans against the ruling Movement Towards Socialism.
To this were added beatings against social leaders wearing wiphalas in the same act, reported local media.
Presidential spokesman, Jorge Richter, during an interview in the Taypi program of radio Kausachun Coca, said that the measures announced by the leadership of the civic committees seek to destabilize the government of President Luis Arce.
The right-wing groups have decided to rearticulate in order to achieve impunity for the Senkata and Sacaba massacres, he commented. "Now what they are looking for, in what they call defense of democracy, is basically to destabilize the government so that this will allow them to quickly generate impunity," said Richter.
Added to this situation is the rejection of the conservative groups that lead several right-wing civic committees to the Law against the Legitimization of Illicit Gains and Financing of Terrorism, which the Government is seeking to pass in order to attack high-level criminality.
However, these groups have taken the law as a reference against them because it legitimizes the "persecution against citizens who fight for democracy, life and freedom in the country."
