Caracas, November 12 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro issued a message on Thursday -- 10 days before the regional and municipal elections -- in which he invited people to vote and expressed his certainty that "better times are coming" for the country.

"Ten days away from a beautiful dawn!  For the new stage of growth, progress and the search for solutions," President Maduro wrote on his Twitter account.  He affirmed that once the elections are over, "with the elected governors and mayors, we will go to the projects and concrete solutions for the people."

Some 70,000 candidates from across the political spectrum are participating in the electoral campaign ahead of the November 21st elections, in which Venezuelans will elect 23 governors, 335 mayors, 253 legislators and 2,471 councilors.

In his message, President Maduro said: "We are seeing the end of the electoral campaigns, I have seen how the popular demand has been gathered, the projects of the new stage, we are going to open a new stage, much better, to grow, advance and look for solutions."

He said that he gave instructions to Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, "so that we proceed immediately to the creation of a rapid action fund."

"Better times are coming and we are preparing for those times.  Together we are going to do better, because Venezuela has what it takes, our people have what it takes."
