Berlin, September 22 (RHC)-- A ten-year-old boy was detained by German police in Berlin for carrying the Palestinian flag during a demonstration against the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.  A video posted on social media shows how the minor holding the Palestinian flag in condemnation of the war on Gaza is chased by several German security officers.

Previously, German police had used violence against pro-Palestinian protesters in the city of Berlin.

In April, law enforcement dismantled tents set up by pro-Palestinian activists in front of parliament to call on the German government to stop arms exports to the Israeli regime and end the ban on the Palestinian solidarity movement.

At a new demonstration in the capital's Alexanderplatz, around 60 pro-Palestinian supporters marched with the slogan "No money for Israel's crimes!"

In July, hundreds of activists took part in a pro-Palestinian demonstration and at least 69 people were arrested in Berlin.

Since October, multiple protests have taken place in Europe to express support for Palestine and question the involvement of certain governments in the genocide committed by the Israeli government in the Gaza Strip.

In response to the continued Israeli aggression in Gaza, large-scale demonstrations were held in several cities and capitals around the world on Saturday.

Demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people and demanding a truce and humanitarian aid to Gaza took place in cities across Europe, including Paris, Vienna, Uppsala, Stockholm, Milan, Maastricht, Liverpool, Odense, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Hamburg, Freiburg and Berlin.

The demonstrators carried signs condemning the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and waved Palestinian flags.  Participants stressed the need to end discrimination and demanded accountability for the occupation's actions, especially for violence against children.
