Government of Valencia to be investigated for its inactivity in the management of the DANA

Havana, Nov. 9 (RHC) The Superior Court of Justice (TSJ) of the Community of Valencia, in Spain, admitted for processing an appeal against the inactivity of the Government and the local Security and Emergency Agency for the management of the DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels).

According to what was informed this Friday by the Valencian TSJ, quoted by Spanish media, they will demand the relevant administrative files to the agencies involved for review.

It also gave the accused companies nine days to "appear in court" as defendants.

According to official data, 219 people died during the crisis caused by the torrential rains and flooding of the DANA. The majority of these deaths (211) occurred in the Valencian Community.

The lawsuit was filed by Valencian lawyer Curro Nicolau, known for his legal activism during the Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, he filed numerous lawsuits challenging the health measures.

In addition to this, the same court this week referred to the Supreme Court of Spain a lawsuit filed by the association Liberum, which alleges "inaction" of the executive of Pedro Sanchez against the floods in the province. (Source: RT)
