Caracas, January 7 (RHC)-- The Government of Venezuela condemned on Monday the statement issued by the United States and its president Joe Biden, labeling it as interventionism for supporting the violent project of the Venezuelan right after the election of Nicolás Maduro as president of the nation.

In this regard, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry warned that "it is grotesque that an outgoing government, like that of Joe Biden, mired in political discredit and marked by a legacy of domestic and international failures, insists on supporting a violent project that has already been defeated by the popular vote and the revolutionary democracy of the Venezuelan people."

We condemn "in a strong and categorical manner the statement issued by the White House, which represents a flagrant violation of international law and a crude attempt to perpetuate imperialist interference in Latin America," stated the diplomatic entity.

"The decrepit Biden administration, defeated and in retreat, once again resorts to worn-out intervention strategies, trying to artificially inflate insignificant political figures in Venezuela while ignoring the clear sovereign will of our people," asserted the Venezuelan government.

By specifying that these maneuvers lack legitimacy and historical sense, the Foreign Ministry emphasized that the declarations only demonstrate the moral and institutional decay of a government that is inexorably approaching its end.

The Venezuelan foreign ministry warned that any attempt to undermine stability or incite violence will be met with firmness, dignity, and the support of a people aware of their strength.

The Foreign Ministry reiterated the ability of that people to defeat fascism and terrorism in any scenario.
