Washington, March 19 (RHC)-- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is planning to eliminate its scientific research and development office, firing as many as 1,155 chemists, biologists, toxicologists and other scientists.

That’s according to documents reviewed by Democrats on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology.  Administrator Lee Zeldin has said he wants to cut 65% of EPA’s budget as part of mass layoffs.
