San Francisco, March 19 (RHC)-- Thousands of people across the United States took to the streets on Tuesday to protest the Israeli regime and its genocidal war on Gaza. A January ceasefire was unilaterally broken by Tel Aviv on Monday, with the deaths more than 400 Palestinians, including women and children.
Israeli bombs struck areas from north to south of the Gaza Strip in a direct violation of the agreement reached between Tel Aviv and the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

In San Francisco, California, more than 2,000 protesters turned out for emergency demonstration in response to the renewed genocide against Gaza. The protest action began Tuesday evening with a powerful rally in front of the Israeli consulate in San Francisco, a location that has been targeted for years in defense of the Palestinian people.

Bill Hackwell, a political activist and well-known photo-journalist, told Radio Havana Cuba that the Israeli consulate is appropriately located in the middle of the financial district of San Francisco, "which financially supports the Israeli brutality that could not happen without it."
He noted that the protest had "a renewed determination about it and took over Market Street, the primary artery of the city."
