Peruvian President Kicks Off Official Visit to Russia, China and the Vatican

Lima, November 7 (RHC-Andina)-- Peru’s President Ollanta Humala has departed for a 12 day out-of-country visit to three nations. The first stop of his working visit to three states including the People's Republic of China and the Vatican will be in Russia.

As part of his work agenda in Moscow, the Peruvian leader will meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. They will seek to fortify friendship ties and bilateral relations between the two nations, reported the Government Palace's press office Secretariat.

Various topics of common interest -closely followed by the two Governments- will also be addressed, and important cooperation agreements will be signed.

Afterwards, Peru's Head of State will fly to China's capital, Beijing, to take part of the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM), scheduled for November 10-11.

Peru's highest-ranked official will meet with the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, to strengthen the strategic alliance that involves both countries.

Finally, Humala will head to The Vatican, where he will meet His Holiness Pope Francis.
