Cairo, November 13 (RHC)-- Clashes between anti-government protesters and police forces have left at least two demonstrators dead and several others wounded in the Egyptian province of Giza. People took to the streets in Giza province, south of the capital city of Cairo, on Wednesday to protest against the Egyptian government.

The demonstration turned violent after the Egyptian police forces attacked the rally, arresting several protesters in the neighborhood of Nahia in Giza province. Meanwhile, Egyptian students continued their anti-government protests in Al-Azhar and Cairo universities.

According to reports, another anti-government rally is set to be held on Friday under the slogan "Return to Your Barracks" which is in reference to the military-backed government of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the former head of the Egyptian armed forces.

Egypt has been the scene of numerous bombings and armed attacks since the military-led ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
