Cairo, March 17 (RHC)-- While the new round of talks between Iran and the U.S. is underway in the Swiss city of Lausanne, the U.S. Secretary of State says many technical differences over Iran's nuclear program have been resolved.

John Kerry made the remarks in an interview with the CBS. Kerry added that Tehran, “to its credit, has thus far lived up to every part of the agreement we made over a year ago,” referring to an interim agreement that has stalled parts of Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry have begun a fresh round of talks over Tehran’s nuclear program in an attempt to bridge their differences on the outstanding issues surrounding Tehran's nuclear program. Zarif and Kerry opened the negotiations in the Swiss city of Lausanne on Monday.

Iran and the P5+1 countries are seeking to seal a comprehensive nuclear deal by July 1.
