Buenos Aires, December 26 (RHC-teleSUR), -- DNA tests have ruled out the possibility of a connection between María Isabel "Chicha" Chorobik de Mariani, one the founders of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, and a woman claiming to be her granddaughter. The news came from Juan Ramos Padilla, spokeperson of Mariani’s Foundation Clara Anahi, just a day after it was widely reported in the news and over social media that her granddaughter had been found. In tests done by Argentina’a National Bank of Genetic Data, no link was found between Chorobik de Mariani and the woman who claimed Thursday to be Clara Anahi, Chicha's granddaughter, who was kidnapped from her home during the dictatorship, when she was only 3-months-old.
