Asuncion, December 26 (RHC)-- Sexual abuse was the most reported offense this year in Paraguay, along with domestic violence and coercion, while the majority of cases are directly related to children.
According to a report released today in the newspaper Ultima Hora, in 2015 the Center for Victims of the Prosecutor’s Office processed more than 4,190 such cases.
The newspaper also mentions a management report released by the Prosecutor’s Office showing that the victims range between 10 and 18 years of age, while warning about an increase of child abuse especially in young girls.
