Havana, September 16 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raúl Castro met Thursday afternoon in Havana with his counterpart from Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, who is currently on an official visit to our country.
The two heads of state held a cordial conversation, during which they reviewed what they both described as “the positive development of bilateral relations” and voiced a common desire to strengthen ties. They likewise addressed issues on the international agenda.
Accompanying the distinguished guest was Tsend Munkh-Orgil, Parliament member and minister of Foreign Relations, Tsedendamba Batbayar, Mongolia's ambassador in Havana, and other high ranking Mongolian officials, who are accompanying the Mongolian leader on his Cuba trip.
Attending on the Cuban side were Marcelino Medina González and Rogelio Sierra Díaz, interim foreign minister and deputy minister respectively, and the country's ambassador in Mongolia Raúl Delgado Concepción.
Prior to his meeting with President Raúl, the Mongolian head of state paid tribute to Cuban National Hero José Martí at the Revolution Square bearing his name in the Cuban capital.
