Havana, October 28 (RHC)-- The President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has concluded a two-day state visit to Cuba. In statements to reporters shortly before departing from Havana, the Portuguese leader advocated strengthened economic and trade ties with Cuba.
During his stay in Havana, the Portuguese head of state held talks with President Raúl Castro and Revolution leader Fidel Castro.
Other activities on the distinguished visitor's agenda included a master lecture he delivered at the University of Havana and his co-chairing of a business forum along with the President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce Orlando Hernández, and with the participation of Cuban and Portuguese entrepreneurs from sectors like agriculture, tourism, fishery, health equipment, robotics and refrigeration.
