Havana, July 11 (RHC) -- Members of the Cuban National Assembly continued their discussions today of socio-economic issues, prior to their Ninth Regular Session, convened for Friday.

In ten working commissions, Cuban legislators are also analyzing Cuba-U.S. relations, their current state and prospects.  In addition, lawmakers are considering programs for the teaching of national history, and an evaluation of the impact of traffic accidents on the economy and society.

The National Assembly commissions began meeting on Monday, when legislators reviewed international relations, with an emphasis on the regional situation in Latin America and the reactionary offensive going on there, specifically in Venezuela, where the anti-government campaign is resorting to forms of open terrorism.
