Justin Siberell, Interim Coordinator of the U.S. Department of State

Miami, July 21 (RHC)-- A U.S. government official has admitted that Cuba has no terrorist activity.  Justin Siberell, interim coordinator of the U.S. Department of State for the fight against terrorism, said that Cuba is not a participant in any activity that would accuse it of sponsoring terrorism.

Quoted by the U.S. newspaper The Miami Herald, Siberell acknowledged that after an assessment, no relevant information about terrorist activity was found about the Caribbean nation.

Cuba was removed from a U.S. State Department list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism in 2015 during the administration of President Barack Obama, after reestablishing bilateral diplomatic relations.

The Cuban government has always maintained that it has been a victim of terrorism -- organized and funded by the United States -- and has never been a perpetrator of terrorist actions.
