Havana, October 19 (RHC)-- Cuba's software application development company Desoft and Germany's International Software Quality Institute (ISQI) signed a memorandum of understanding in the framework of the International Congress on Information Technology, Cyber Society 2017, which is holding sessions in Havana with the participation of some 450 experts from China, US, Germany, Spain, Uruguay, Ecuador, Guatemala and Cuba.
The document was signed Wednesday by Desoft Director Luis Guillermo Fernández Pérez and ISQI Director Stephan Georicke. It provides for the international certification of Cuban experts in software development, while also allowing the German institute to strengthen its presence in the Latin American market.
Also on Wednesday, the Cuban Association of Information Technology Experts and the IT company belonging to the pharmaceutical industries group, BioCubaFarma, signed an agreement that provides for strengthened collaboration between the two Cuban entities on issues like curses, events and personnel training.
The International Congress on Information Technologies 'Cyber Society 2017' runs through Friday at the Melia Marina Varadero.
