Washington D.C., January 18 (RHC)-- Official delegations from the United States and Cuba met Wednesday in Washington D.C. to advance cooperation in preventing and confronting terrorism.
Wednesday's technical meeting on the issue was in the framework of the bilateral dialogue on the application of and compliance with both countries' laws, established between Washington and Havana in November 2015.
The two delegations coincided on the importance of bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism and agreed to continue this type of meeting in the future.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the meeting developed in a good atmosphere, marked by mutual respect and high professionalism.
The Cuban delegation was made up of officials from the ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, while the U.S. delegation included officials from the departments of State, Homeland Security and Justice.
